We
have been lucky to be born here and to continue
to live in this
corner of Europe, where the work of the farmers,
in the fields and on
the hills, blends with that in the factories.
Where the same farmers went
to work in the factories bringing a great and silent
commitment and a
substantial contribution to many new ideas and developments.
Alba became famous for the production of noble wines
of great quality,
for the precious and esteemed white truffle, but
now also for the
products that the local industries have been able
to develope, exploit
and make known world wide.
The global, and sometimes unscrupulous, industrial
competition is
attacking us with increasing strength from every
side, and sometimes
we wonder whether the manufacturing industry here
in our area can
really survive. However, in the face of this competition,
we should not
surrender, but clench our teeth and continue to
believe in our potential.
Now, more than ever, we should renew our products,
revise our
production processes and increasingly utilise our
skills,our experience
and our ideas, to remain at the forefront of our
industry.
